About Us

A bit about the Dulcisinfundo

First of all, the Dulcisinfundo is a family of Tuscan food and wine lovers, led by Cristina and Roberto, who have been running the restaurant with passion for more than twenty years.

Our goal is to guide our guests through a wonderful trip to discover the flavors of the most genuine Tuscan cuisine, from appetizers to desserts, as the name we have chosen for our restaurant suggests. To do so, we rely on traditional recipes and we use seasonal products, which mainly come from local farms, but above all from our farm. The king of our cuisine is the San Gimignano PDO saffron, that we produce ourselves with love . And let’s not forget about another protagonist of the Tuscan experience: wine. We select the best local wines, with particular attention to another typical product of San Gimignano: the Vernaccia white wine.

Our small and welcoming restaurant is perfect for small groups and couples who want to enjoy a special meal during their trip to Tuscany. We have outdoor tables, in front of the wonderful panoramic viewpoint of San Gimignano, which opens onto the Tuscan hills, or inside, where a typical medieval environment will welcome you, with its thick and rough stone walls, and its well-preserved granaries. Couples, we say to you: the experience of a dinner at our romantic private table, a unique niche in the rock, will make your holidays in San Gimignano truly unforgettable.

Last but not least: we do really love jazz music. You will surely hear it, because we never miss a playlist, carefully selected for the evening by Roberto, who is the foremost jazz expert here at the Dulcisinfundo. But you will also see with your eyes our passion for jazz, because the Dulcisinfundo is decorated with many photos of jazz musicians, taken during jazz concerts and festival by Cristina’s brother, the photographer Giovanni Tancredi.
